SUJITH S.N.

Born 1979 in Baroda, India.
Lives and works in Mumbai, India.

After the death of his father, Sujith S.N. considered following in his footsteps and joining the military, but realised early enough that his heart lay in becoming a painter. His beginnings as a draughtsman for construction sites can be seen in the architectural and spatial elements of many of his artworks. Although he primarily creates works on paper, Sujith S N also occasionally works with other mediums like oil on canvas and photography. Characterised by a muted palette with the occasional presence of brighter colours, his work often explores the unchecked expansion of urban spaces and the resulting discomfiting sense of alienation.
